Common Ground and Kiss the Ground, which were previously released, will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video on April 22, or Earth Day, including a never-before-seen director’s cut of Kiss the Ground. Meanwhile, the duo’s forthcoming documentary, Groundswell, wrapped production last year and will be released globally on Prime Video at a later date. The trio of films hails from filmmakers Joshua Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell.

Through a broad coalition of partners, including founding pledge member Maker’s Mark, this initiative serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities across the country. The 100 Million Acres Pledge encourages brands, farmers, and individuals to commit to transitioning 10% of U.S.-sourced acreage into certified regenerative systems by 2030, contributing to healthier soils, more resilient ecosystems, and a sustainable future.

Speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere of Common Ground, a new documentary film that focuses on the need for sustainable and eco-friendly farming, the Aquaman actor, 44, opened up about teaching his kids the importance of living an environmentally-conscious lifestyle.

The way human beings have traditionally farmed in the modern era devastates the soil. It impacts the quality of the food people and farmed animals eat and thus our collective health. It’s not sustainable, vastly reducing the amount of farmable land available to us and our ability to feed the planet.

If you’re one of those people who thinks that industry shouldn’t always have its way, that the rights of animals should be protected, that the distressingly common extinction of species is a scandal and that nature should be respected, I admire your strength and courage.
