Jason Momoa Hopes New Environmental Movie “Common Ground” ‘Fuels’ His Kids: ‘What I’m Fighting For’ (Exclusive)

The actor emphasizes the importance of protecting the environment to his two children. Jason Momoa says being a dad is one of the drivers behind his passion for protecting the environment.

Speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere of Common Grounda new documentary film that focuses on the need for sustainable and eco-friendly farming, the Aquaman actor, 44, opened up about teaching his kids the importance of living an environmentally-conscious lifestyle.

“I feel like I’m doing it and I’m almost force-feeding my children too much,” the father of two — who shares son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo, 15, and daughter Lola Iolani, 16, with ex Lisa Bonet — tells PEOPLE.

“I took it to their school and we played it at their school, and it was fun to watch all their friends watching it, but I’m like, secretly, I wish they even took it more to the next level,” he continues.

“I mean, I want the next generation to take it even more. And they are, some people are, but you just got to deal with what feels good to you and it just fuels me. That’s what I’m fighting for.”
